Notice From Amy Lubinskas:
I am in nursing school, and I am currently conducting my clinical rotation at the Veteran's Hospital. I have come across a need with which our community could be most helpful.
Many of the hospitalized veterans remain at the VA for weeks to months as they arrive from all over the country for treatment. The hospital does not provide any toiletry items for the veterans while they are hospitalized. All items are donated. I would love to head up a drive for items such as shaving cream, shampoo, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, etc.
Thanks
Amy

Attention:
We have had numerous complaints on this issue!!!!!
PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE TO YOUR NEIGHBORS AND PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG/DOGS WHEN WALKING IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!
Even though you may have nice and well trained dogs, all dogs must be on a leash in Summer Lake. Other dogs being walked on a leash may not be so nice and appreciate another dog running up to them. Also, many residents are afraid of dogs of any kind and do not want an unleashed dog coming towards them
Residents please make sure that on Wednesday trash day, please keep trash tidy on the curb and inside your property lines and in front of your own houses. Be courteous to neighbors with your trash.

Social Committee meets on the 1st Thursday of every month @ 7:00 at the Clubhouse. Everyone is invited to attend!!!!!!!!!!!
We are excited to inform you that the Summer Lake Social Committee is going to partner with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond, VA, Inc (R.M.H.C.)! R.M.H.C. creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children worldwide. Our local chapter is located on Monument Avenue and is a haven for out of town families with a child in the hospital. Many of these children have life threatening diseases. Funding for house operations and programs comes through local and national fund raising efforts. It is our hope to bring together as many people as possible, adults and children, to volunteer their time to support such a wonderful charity as the R.M.H.C.
